Ivy Enrichment Fund, Inc.

The Charitable Arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®

      Pi Iota Omega Chapter

MISSION: The Ivy Enrichment Fund, Incorporated, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit corporation, was established by Pi Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® to raise funds to finance and support the chapter’s community service programs, activities, and initiatives.

Pi Iota Omega Chapter has been providing stellar service to all mankind and serving the White Plains/ Greenburgh communities since June 14, 1986.  Our services are determined by each corporate administration.

Our 2022-2026 program initiatives  include:

Empower Our Families

Build Our Economic Wealth

Enhance Our Environment

Advocate for Social Justice

Uplift Our Local Community

These initiatives are designed to improve and empower the communities we serve, and build collaborative relationships with businesses that support us in executing our vision. To fulfill our mission, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support.

Through the years, we have donated over $376,000 in scholarships and book awards to high school students' educational advancement. As an organization dedicated to creating sustainable funding streams, in order to provide scholarships and assist communities, our primary goal is to create and cultivate partnerships that will help us enrich lives through the awarding of scholarships and community awards. Fundraising efforts such as our Patron Campaign, also underwrite the stellar community service the chapter members provide annually. In addition, events such as Pocketbook Bingo, as well as our signature Holiday Extravaganza, which has attracted 300+ guests,  allow us to raise funds for these scholarships and book awards.

A few highlights of the chapter’s initiatives include our signature youth enrichment program, The GIRLS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY (GLA), which is designed to motivate, engage, and assist middle and high school students to reach their maximum potential both academically, and social emotionally, as well as meaningful life courses such as building positive financial habits that will be sustained into adulthood.  GLA youth have been able to experience many trips to culturally historic sites and museums, such as the African American Museum in Washington, DC; these trips were made possible through generous donations.

Additionally, due to an increase in food insecurity, we established a “Childhood Hunger Bank” at a local school which provided meals, coats, and seasonal wraps to families in transitioning housing.  Through donations, we have been able to purchase school supplies for students, both locally and internationally, specifically, in Benin and Haiti.

We depend on donations from community-minded, and advocates of social upliftment, to sustain our efforts. We humbly, request your donation to support the continuation of our service to all mankind.
